Storing marriage records from the past to the present has always been something the state of Florida has been good at. Over 5 million such records are kept on file at the Vital Statistics Office of Florida. The state repository in the office of Vital Statistics in Jacksonville has marriage records dating as far back as June 6, 1927. All reports pertaining to these files are directed to the Florida Department of Health.
